What is my chances of getting Herpes one time with unprotected sex. My GF and I have been fighting about this. I had sex with my new GF about 10 times and we had a condom everytime, but one day we had a condom break I did not know until I pulled out. About a week later, she had her period. Days later she had some itching. She went to her doctor for a check up on all std's including HIV. She was negative, except for Herpes. She said the doc did not know which type, but she was positive. We do not know who gave it to who. She only had one break out and alleges she had never had a BF for 9 years since she has a daughter. I contacted my previous GF and she said she tested negative for everything. At this point, I am freaking out just like everyone else. We all have seen those horrible Herpes pictures. What I need to know specifically is what are my chances as a man getting Herpes from a woman that has never had a break out, she did not have any break outs and it was one time unprotected. I show no signs. I am still getting an exam next week. But I need peace of mind. Share those valuable stories!
if I get a little pimple on my vagina is it herpes? I've looked up pictures of herpes but it doesn't look like what I have every now and then I'll get one little pimple like thing that has a white head on my vagina...it doesn't come in groups of pimples it's usually just one...but I'm freaking out because I'm not sure if it's normal to get pimples on your vagina. I mean it doesn't look like a blister or anything it just looks like a pimple I'd find on my face just a little one. can it be just because I sweat down there? PLEASE HELP! I'm scarred! I do shave down there could that also be a cause? maybe ?
Please help me find pictures to compare some blisters that appeared in the genital area.? I suddenely developed these odd blisters right outside the opening of the ganital area, and as soon as I discovered them, I went to the hospital. They said they suspect herpes, but need to wait for test results. I have not been with anyone but my husband since we were both tested (2 years ago), and I know it's not from him because he is in the army and was just tested last month due to activation and getting sent overseas. I searched for pictures of herpes, though, and none of them look like what I have. I could really use some advice, maybe you know of a good site with pictures for identifying things like this. I've looked everywhere and checked things other than herpes, but nothing has even come close other than a couple pictures of the skin cancer melanoma, but these blisters developed only yesterday. Some are all white, some are multicolored white and grayish-black. Please help, I am very freaked out.
Is this herpes or just a simple pimple? Well, on my testes, i have a white bump that i except to be a pimple. I can pop it too. I looked online for pictures of herpes and theyre all red some part around the bump and on the actual penis, not the testes. It's also just one pimple. Nothing else. Nothing more. Pleas a have a question about Herpes? I have 5 little bumps on my pinky finger they look like blisters but the center of them is dark, my first question is can you get herpes on your fingers? And second I've looked at alot of herpe's pictures and none of them really look like what I have on my finger. The herpes in the picture are like bubles but mine you can barely feel if I rub my other finger over it. I only noticed them because I got an itch there, after I scratched it I seen them. Shingles (Herpes Zoster)? Diagnosis from pictures? Zovirax cost? Anna has had this condition for over a year, and we now think it's Shingles. I know we should go see a doctor, but we can't until at least 3 weeks from now (nearest avail appointment). If you are an MD or have personally dealt with this before, could you help us figure out what this condition is? It's only on her hands and her feet, as pictured. She says it doesn't hurt, but when she puts it under water or something, it's sensitive and burns a little. Also, how much does Zovirax (the oral pill kind and/or cream) cost? (with and without a prescription) I also heard that there is no cure for Shingles, and the antiviral medication only helps with the pain and healing time. what is the difference between a cold sore and herpes? i was on Google and i came across a picture of a cold sore and another of herpes and they seem to look the same to me.so how would some one know the difference.
The difference between canker sores and herpes? As far as how they look. I've looked at pictures, they seem exactly the same to me. And I always thought when someone said that they had a "canker sore" that it was actually just herpes, and they were just embarassed or whatever. Anyway, I want to be able to tell the difference.

Is it a cold sore / oral herpes? I had this very tiny bump on my mouth, where my inner lip meets my outer lip (hard to tell if it would be considered inner or outer, but it didn't hurt like a canker sore which are inner, so i think it must have been outer) and it was impossible to notice without really looking hard, ya know? Anyways, within a few days it was all gone (or so I thought) so I totally forgot about it. And then my boyfriend and I gave eachother oral sex, and in the morning light---looking very very closely---i terrifyingly realized that it is still there. very very tiny, but still kind of there. Almost a month ago i recieved oral sex from a man, and maybe 1-2 days later a bump appeared on my lower shaft. i didnt immediately worry cause during the act, the person was rubbing my shaft and they were wearing a ring and it made me sore, so i thought it could have come from that. The bump didnt go away & i began to worry. And it took the shape of a pimple. About a week ago i went to a clinic and it checked out. The bump went down in size in the time and the doctor didnt think it was herpes just cause of the way it looked. But she also told me it was too soon to test and to come back in 3 months to get a HIV and Herpes test. Its been about 20 days and the bump still looks the same. No pain or itching (well maybe if im drying myself off with a towel too rough). I think the bump may have burst at one point but came back. What else should i do? Does it really take so long to diagnosis? I also looked at herpes pictures and this doesnt look like it, what else could it be?
Herpes or what? So my friend and I were talking today and she confessed that recently she has had some sort of itching on her vaginal areas. Then she noticed a white bump or something like that like in the area b/t the vagina and the anus. So, I told her to go to the gyno, but she is super scared. Can Herpes appear in the pubic hair region? From the pictures I've seen they are onlys on the actually gentilia itselfs and around the mouth and things. I have little bumps but they are only in my pubic hair region so that leads me to believe its only "razor bumps" due to the fact i shave my pubes, but whats your opinion?
HELP. could this possibly be genital herpes? I noticed a red bump on my vagina near the top. and it is where i shave. Can oral herpes be just a tiny tiny bump? PLEASE ONLY ANSWER THIS IF YOU KNOW FOR CERTAIN! I had a tiny tiny bump on my lip recently, and it went away within about 1 week or so. It wasn't blister-like, or like ANY of the pictures when doing a google image search of "Cold Sore" or "Oral Herpes." You had to look really really closely to even see it. do I have oral herpes on my tongue? (picture link included)? A day ago I got this bump on my tongue. It doesn't look like much in the mirror - just a little white dot. Doesn't even stick out much. But it's quite painful, especially when I eat. I've gotten bumps on my tongue before but I think they usually go away within a day or so. I've had this one now for two days and it hasn't gone away yet. Is it possible that this could be oral herpes (I did some reading on the internet and the symptoms sound similar). Uh-oh, Herpes? I am 18 and male. About 2 weeks ago, I had unprotected, receptive, anal sex with a male partner. He did not ejaculate inside me, instead on my penis to use as lubricant. Fast forward to circa a few days ago: I get a canker sore, and seem to have broken out in acne. The acne was red, very spread out (not in groups), on my upper thigh and lower back, perchance on my buttocks. I am almost wondering if this is herpes, because the acne lacks the white pus head most acne has. It is though not itchy or painful. Also most pictures of herpes tend to have it bunched together and not as circular as my 'sores' are, but then again, I've never had acne on my upper thigh, it lacks the white heads, and the won't pop. Could this be herpes? Oh, also one of my lymph nodes feels possibly swollen.

Herpes or not? I have a dime size red painful soft lump on the inside of my right butt cheek, without pus. It has been there for over a week. It does not look like any pictures of Herpes I have found on the internet. But I am worried sick. It hurts to sit and it hurts when I walk because of friction. Do genital herpes occur on top of the skin or under the skin like a cyst? I've looked at several pictures of herpes and they all appear above the skin. I have a lump that comes up about a week after I shave (but not always) it's not on top of the skin. It's more like a cyst being beneath the skin. If you have herpes, does this sound like herpes or something else? It's never a blister, never opens, and never dries or scabs. I am going to the health department to get blood tests. omg Do i have herpes type 2? Info on Herpes? I am starting to worry that I am having a herpes outbreak. I have been with the same partner for about year, but I am afraid I would have gotten it from the previous one. Is it possible that I have herpes, even if I have not had an outbreak since contracting it over a year ago? Also, I don't see any blisters and I am having a hard tiem find picture of what to expect as vaginal herpes, the only pictures I have found are on the penis. What are some symptoms? I have a few dark bumps between my legs, the skin area between my legs is also darker, could it be an STD? I have looked at pictures of herpes and other such diseases that cause bumps, but mine do not look like any of them. They are not clear, they are not white, simply a dark purplish color, and the skin area has also grown dark. I am a white male with pale skin. Could it be an STD or is it folliculitis? There are no bumps on the penis or testicles.
Could it be herpes? So I posted a question a few days ago regarding the possibility of me having herpes. Thanks to everyone who was so prompt to answer my question. So I went to the doctor two days ago. She took one look at my private area, examined it, and told me there is no way that what I have could be herpes. She said its most likely just irritation caused by shaving my pubic hair. How she came to this conclusion was that I did not have any lesions on my penis or testicles. She also said that herpes sores tend to gather in clusters, and what I have are just single random pimples scattered around my pubic area. She did order a blood test just to be sure, but she seemed pretty confident. I can't say I'm totally relaxed about the situation just yet. My question though, is this true? Most of the pictures of herpes infections I've seen do tend to show them in clusters. What I get appear to look more like pimples, some with whiteheads some without. Could my doctor be right?

Question on herpes symptom? I have been married one year and have had sex with my wife many times unprotected. 2 months ago she have painfull urination. We just thought it was a bladder infection and she drank Cranwberry Juice. It went away. About 2 weeks ago I noticed a bump on me. Is it Herpes or just a spot? About 4 times in the past 8 or so years I have developed what looks like a spot but slightly deeper under the skin surface on the line where my lip meets my skin. I have read about Herpes and it does tingle and throb but it never blisters or scabs or looks much like any of the pictures I have seen. Is it just an ordinary spot in a painful place or Herpes? Genital Herpes? VERY IMPORTANT!? My boyfriend just told me over MSN that he thinks he has genital herpes. Another Question about Herpes? In 2001, I separated from my boyfriend and had a sexual encounter with my ex boyfriend (the only other person I've ever slept with) I performed oral sex on him. About a week later I got a cold sore (I've had this type of sore all my life, even before I ever kissed a guy). I also had a bump just inside my vaginal lip. Later my boyfriend got a bump. I had shaved my vagina thoroughly before the sexual encounter with my ex. I have noticed that any time I shave my vagina about a week later a bump pops up just like the first bump in the same area. But, I've looked at pictures of genital herpes, read the symptoms and they don't match up. The bump I get is never red, does not open, and never scabs over. The bump comes up several times a year about a week after shaving. This also doesn't fit with what I've read. Is it possible I have genital herpes or just an ingrown hair. After the hair starts to grow back, I feel it poking me in the area where the bump comes up. I just wanted to add that I have spoke with the health department and they feel it's probably just an ingrown hair that keeps appearing, but I haven't had a bump for them to test. Also a heat compress makes the bump go down. I just wanted to add that the bump I get looks nothing like a blister and occurs at the very top of my vagina, no where near the opening, clitoris, or anus.
White wart-like circle on inner thigh. Could it be herpes? This morning I noticed a small white wart-like circle on my inner thigh. It is about half a centimeter in diameter. At first I thought that it was a white-head or an ingrown hair but after looking at it more, I realized that it is something that I have never seen before. Herpes Paranoia!? Hello, today I just got a small pimple like thing right above my lip, resting half and half. it has no noticeable white spots and is fairly small. A bit lower is another very tiny bump that I can barely feel/see. Also, during the winter, the sides of my mouth occasionally become cracked and dry and often peel. Am I infected? fungus infection, warts or herpes? Hey guys, I'm hoping you can help me out. To start, I haven't had sex in 2 years and I've only been with 2 women in my life and I've never had these symptoms. Since yesturday, my groin area (penis head, shaft and testicles) have developed these really nasty red spots. Some bigger then others. I bought this anti-fungal cream and it's helping with the itching but the redness and the spots do not go away. I've looked at pictures of jock itch, herpes and warts and it's really hard to tell what it looks like. I don't think it's herpes or warts since I do not have pain or discomfort when I urinate and have not had flu-like symptoms. I think it's a fungus infection. Like 3 days ago, I masterbated with a sex toy but didn't wash it before using it. I also didn't wash myself with soap afterwards, just with water. And I went to the gym at night and sweated. I may have genital herpes ...please help? I am 16 years old and have only had sexual intercorse 1 time. This person was also a virgin. About 6 or 7 months ago i noticed these small bumps on the bottom half of my penis and on my scrotom. I had a whitehead about 1/2 inch from my mouth, I popped it and it got really dry & itches could it be herpes? Like the question states, I had this 'pimple' about a half an inch form my mouth. It has been there about a week...after I popped it, it became dry and flakey and now it is itching. I am really worried it is herpes. herpes or juss a weird zit? ive looked at the pictures of cold sores or herpes or whatever and they look nothing like what i have.. so idk what it is.. i think i will see a doctor but idk if its not gone by this weekend i will see a doctor but other than that this week imma make sure that i put lots of makeup to cover it cuz before i had a white thing on my top lip then popped it and became bigger and then i cleaned my face and it dissaperared.
do i have herpes? i have 1 small red bump on my butt cheek, it doesn't itch but it hurts a little. i've had butt pimples for a long time, but this bump is different. the pimples are usually really deep, don't have a head, and hurt when i sit or are poked. I burst one of them the other day, could this small surface bump be from that? i've been working out really hard for about a week and a half could that have caused it? i had sex with a new guy a couple of days ago but no bumps any where else could that be it? i just noticed it today, but it doesn't look like pictures i've seen of herpes, and its in the middle of my butt cheek, not near my anus or vagina. please help... sorry so graphic.
Herpes or razor burn? I have a small cluster of bumps at the top of my vagina just below my abdomen. They look similar to pictures on the internet though of herpes and I have never experienced razor burn this badly before. Even though it's not near my vulva or cervix or anything could it still be herpes?
Herpes? Warts? Acne? or just Puberty? Ok so my brother is going through puberty. He's about 15 and came to me one day and asked me a question. We have a very good relationship and he tells me everything. He isn't sexually active. But, he said he has noticed several small bumps all over his scrotum and the base of his penis. Most of these bumps have pubic hair growing out he said, and at first he thought it was just from the hair. Then he said he noticed several more that didn't have pubic hair. And also he said that they appear like zits and some can be popped like them. He is now scared that he has somehow contracted Genital Warts or Herpes and has come to me about it. I didn't know an answer for him. and i have done research with him on genital herpes and warts, but can only find pictures of severe cases. Can anyone tell me if this is acne? Herpes? Warts? Or a normal part of puberty? Beautiful Woman... The whole point of the uncertanty if he has an STD or not is that he ISNT sexually active.

So I have looked at tons of pictures and this looks nothing like herpes....i think....So basically about a month ago I had recieved oral sex from this girl that I didnt even know. Yes i know stupid. I was drunk and was passed out when she gave me oral. Yes i know not smart. I cant remember but I started to get these like little bumps on my fingers. I thought it was from something outside like a plant because I golf everyday. And since I scratch myself every once in awhile haha I thought that maybe it was because of what was on my fingers. My upper legs, butt, and crotch all itched but mainly only occurs in the middle of the night. So about two weeks ago, these red bumps that look like misquito bites appeared. 2 are on the penis, about 3 on the scrotum and then i have about 8 of them on my waist line. I also have a couple underneath my armpit, which is why i think I may not have it. But im not a doctor. No burning, no pain, just itches. I use itch cream and that helps. Any thoughts?

Possible genital herpes? Okay, I had casual sex with a girl around the 8th of Feb. One week later I noticed 4 dots above my penis. They looked like whiteheads so I popped all of them and white stuff came out, like a zit. They are still there and haven't went away. I'm so scared that I have genital herpes now. They aren't grouped together like pictures I have seen around the internet. They also don't itch or burn at all so I guess that's a plus. The other part that has me scared is that I have suddenly gotten sick over the past few days. I don't have a fever, just regular sinuses and coughing with some congestion. I know this could be a side-affect since if it is herpes, my body is trying to fight it. Although, my roommate was really sick a week before this happened so I could have just caught it from him. I'm going in for a check on Monday, does it sound like herpes?? I'm so freaking out right now!
herpes... did i get it? i recently had sex with my girlfriend of the past 5 years... last time we had sex was 2 months ago. now this time everything was normal... nothing out of the ordinary. but two days later i noticed the head of my penis had some red spots. not soars, not bumps, not painful at all. wouldnt have noticed it either unless i saw it. its been now 3-4 days since i saw them and still hasnt really changed. I am uncircumsized and kind noticed the spots on the head somewhat mimic the location of milder spots on foreskin when drawn back. I have searched alot on google images and yahoo images for herpes type 2... and i cannot find any pictures that resemble what i see. I do not have any blisters forming or bumps whatsoever. suggestions? thats for the quick replies. One more thing to add, my girlfriend is asian and she recently got eczema in the past few months. no outbreaks of skin irritation near her genitals or anything just a bit on face and arms. can that contribute to any of this?
Genital Herpes? A couple of days ago i found one bump on de side of my lavia.. its raised like an ingrown hair.. its just one and there is no puss.. it doesnt itch or burn. should i be worried. i have a doctors appointment on saturday already but i just need some second advice.. its not red, its brown. it has no puss like all the pictures i have seen on the internet. if not Herpes what could it be. it has happend once on the same spot. it went away and its back again..
One More herpes question..........? ok so i know i have genital herpes but does that mean that when i have no symptoms of it i can touch the infected area and then touch somewhere else on my body like my leg.. and that place will then get herpes?? or can i only get it around my genitals because i've heard of cases where people have occipital herpes in their eye (i saw a picture it was gross) so please just let me know how contagious is herpes to the other parts of the body once you already have it around your genitals?
herpes..? Help? could a blood test be wrong when diagnosing herpes.? it is said my friend has it but he doesnt look anything like the pictures. he is told he has HSV-1 on his penis but i dont know, all of the pictures are nothing like it.. is there any way it could be wrong? its only red , doesnt burn or itch. his gf was diagnosed with a yeast infection, maybe they got the two things confused and he just has it too? please help, they are both really stressed.. they also said its "not an STD" arent all herpes std's? Can this be herpes?? Two days ago I realized that I have about 3-4 spots with clusters of red, raised bumps that were filled with a clear fluid on the lower left side of my stomach (body). Some of the blister have popped and crusted. There was slight pain but now the pain has resided. There is slight inflammation around each cluster. The clusters have a purplish color to them. I have researched almost everything comparing pictures to my blisters. The only thing that match or looked similar was herpes. Is it Herpes? I get cold sores, so yes, I have that form of herpes, but...? Yesterday the skin under my pubic hair felt very irritated, like rug burn. I shaved the region to get a better look and discovered red skin. Sometime later I saw that where the red was the skin was slightly raised, then continued to to the point that it looks swollen. I wouldn't decribe it as bumps necessarily but, again, more like rug burn. I am freaked out that it is herpes. I've done all the research I could online. What I need is some HELP from people who know. If it was herpes, aside from boils, what are the "mild" symptoms. Do I have the symptoms? It's not burning, it doesn't resemble the pictures I saw online, it does not burn when I pee, it is not "warm". I have not been in contact with anyone beside my LONG time boyfriend who is just as worried as I am. Also, I am on my period, if that means anything. Please tell me that it isn't possible that I gave myself Herpes 2 by what could only be if anything mild contact?
do herpes look like pimples? only serious answers please. ive noticed pimples on my inner thigh and sorta around my anus but on the cheek more than the actual hole.they definately look like pimples,they dont seem to be sore or ridiculously itchy.one has a white head and the others are just red bumps. i just want to know,do herpes bumps contain puss or is it only clear fluid? ive had other such looking bumps and popped them,and its definately puss that comes out (sorry for the grossness) and they dont scab up like pictures ive seen.just want to be sure, please answer if you know. cheers
i think i have had herpes since i was a child...? I was searching around some old pictures and found some of me at various ages, there was one that was when i was 7 years old and i what looked like a cold sore on my lip, others weer around my lip, there was also another one...i think this is the youngest picture of me and i had them all around my mouth about 4 outbreaks maybe more or less they could have been connected. I also found pictures of my sister who also looked like she had the outbreaks, i mean she has down syndrome and had an outbreak on her lip..well it was more of in between her lip and nose. When i developed shingles i became very worried and stuff, my mom said she had it on her...vagina...at that point i got scared, did we get it from her, will i genital herpes i the future...is it possible for a parent to give it to their children?
How do you know and get tested for Herpes Type 2 Simplex? (genital area) -paper-? No no no before assumptions start flyin' its just for a paper in Health class. We had a list of diseases that we get assigned to and I was assigned to Herpes. How do you get tested for Herpes Type 2 Simplex? Like is it blood work or do they cotton swab the thingies? How do you know if ya have it? I've been tryin' to research it but, every site is different with different contridicting information and pictures. So, I was just curious.. I've got like 2 paragraphs done but, I need 2 pages or so. So any information and help would be nice. Thankies <3
Differentiating between cold sores (Herpes Simplex) and Canker Sores? I read that herpes simplex inside the mouth (hard/soft palate, inner cheek, tongue..) can be misdiagnosed as a canker sore. What are the ways to tell the difference? I suffer with cold sores that occur outside the mouth on the oro-facial skin area, and I'm worried I'll pass it on to my boyfriend. I don't share cups with him, utensils, I make sure my hands are clean, and I don't kiss him until at least a week after I'm sure it's gone. To sum it up, I'm VERY careful :). I have heard him complain of canker sores in the past, and I know that they're not uncommon in people without any kind of virus. Now that I've read that misdiagnosis happens, and I've seen the pictures (they don't really help, they're only pictures, afterall), I'm a bit paranoid. Help?

Does this sound like herpes? (Alli Please Answer!!) WHAT ARE DEFINING SIGNS OF HERPES? I recently broke up with my boyfriend and we got back together after some time. He promised me that he wasn't with anyone (and I know that there is the chance that he lied but I trust him). During the time were broken up, i kissed 2 other men but nothing more. After that, i engaged again in oral and vaginal sex with my boyfriend. Since then, my mouth has sort of developed longish scrape like lesions, around the area where my teeth come together, and two very small, white, pimpleish dots. Also, the inside of the outer lips of my vagina have developed around 50ish small, pimpleish dots as well. Could these be normal to the skin in that area? THey are a bit annoying but don't quite "burn". They aren't huge like the pictures I've seen, and haven't popped into open sores. I also have no discharge. I also don't have a fever, just feel like I'm getting a cold. No swollen lymph nodes. I believe these are the same as ones i had before I kissed but not quite sure I was diagnosed with HPV about 3 years ago and after going in for pap smears every 3 months, my doctor told me that my results were normal again and I could go back to having my paps every 6 months. My questions are A: what is the possibility I contracted herpes in my mouth (from kissing a person only one time), spread it to my partner through oral sex, who then spread it to me? a couple questions about herpes...please help? you can start showing signs of it the very next day, am i right? Can you always have outbreaks, or get them at least a couple times a month? cuz i think i have it, but I ALWAYS get them, and I heard that herpes comes and gos like only a few times a year or something.....can someone from experience please explain a little more about it and tell me what it REALLY looks like? Do I Have Genital Warts, Herpes, or Anxiety? I had safe sex around 3 weeks ago, and had oral sex maybe around a week and a half ago. I never really noticed until recently but i have some red spots on my penis. Some being on the tip and some right before the tip. I have bairly any, and they are no larger then 2 mm. Im getting nervous though. I have looked into Herpes and Genital Warts and it doesn't really sound like what i have but somewhat close to it. But then when i look up pictures of these diseases they look absolutely nothing like what i have. My bumps do not itch, they disappear sometimes and come back, do not itch, do not look like a pimple with a little white in it, or bleed, just small red spots. I'm 16, sort of feeling akward telling or showing my parents yet and would prefer to hear an opinion from someone who knows what they are talking about rather than a opinion. Should I be worried? Should i treat it somehow or get it checked out? Please help, it worries me especially when im currently learning of STD's in school.

jock itch or herpes??? im having itch around my genital area for 3 months now.... there is this red patch and some time black/dry patch around it, it itches alot when im sleeping and don't itch so much when im awake but it do get itchy when i start to scratch it some overview : -im not fat(some says fat around the area rubbing together that cause it) -im in a long term relationship, im not a high risk individual -kinda started after i started to wash around that area and scrapping some stubborn dirt out of there, it then started to form a white and dry scale(i thought it was some skin falling off) then it started to become light red and brown colour now, it was kinda dry until i started applying some hygeinic handwash gel, now the patch doesn't seem to be so dry and hard but soft in my case what am i having?i been reading about STD and herpes came up as a possible symptom, i then search the internet for a picture of it but my appear less worse so am i having jock itch?how to cure any of those?
