Herpes

Can symptoms of Herpes show the next day?

I had sex with a girl yesterday who i believe might have had herpes, then this morning when i went to go to the bathroom i saw that my penis was covered in red bumps, is there any way that could be herpes or is it just a rash (showed about 19 hours after intercourse)

  3. Its usually 2-5 days, so it well could be a yeast infection - yep, guys get them, too! See this link, then see your DR.:http://www.ashastd.org/learn/learn_herpes.cfm#4
  4. I think it's possible, dude. It may have irritated you, you know? On the other hand, maybe it's a result of rough sex....if it doesn't go away you should head to a doctor
  5. Yes ti could be.but it is not all that likely unless your imune system was already weakened..Been feeling sick? Good luck
  6. There is absolutely no way that herpes could show that fast. Herpes is a virus which will be in your system forever, if infected, and will manifest symptoms ONLY when your immune system cannot contain it. Some people have herpes and NEVER have an outbreak while others get outbreaks on a periodic basis. Recent studies have concluded that herpes CAN be transmitted without an outbreak whereas it was previously believed that it could be transmitted ONLY during an outbreak when 'blisters' are present. Herpes outbreaks are actually controlable with drugs, but the drugs are very expensive. Acyclovir is the drug of choice. Herpes goes into remission and attaches to nerve endings until the immune system is compromised in some way. Then you MIGHT have an outbreak, and they last up to 10 days. It is more of an annoyance than anything else. In short, remember that you can ONLY be tested for herpes during an outbreak or in the 'blister' phase. They will take a sample of the liquid in the 'blister'. Do's -PROTECT ALL PARTNERS WITH THE USE OF CONDOMS, IF INFECTED -Get tested for herpes if you feel you have symptoms which are usually a burning or itching sensation. -Accept the fact that you will have it forever. Dont's -DO NOT have unprotected sex. -Do not think that it is damaging to your body other than what was explained above. -Do not think that you have automatically been infected. Herpes is a controlable condition but not life threatening. You CAN give oral herpes to someone who goes down on you without protection.
  7. i doubt it. either you had some rough sex or you got yourself an STD
  8. Genital infection (generally HSV-2) Prodromal symptoms Itching in affected area Sore appears Lesion begins to heal, usually without scarring In males, the lesions may occur on the shaft of the penis, in the genital region, on the inner thigh, buttocks, or anus. In females, lesions may occur on or near the pubis, labia, clitoris, vulva, buttocks, or anus. This may require a very careful examination; for example, during delivery, examination by use of a flashlight may be necessary. The appearance of herpes lesions and the experience of outbreaks in these areas varies tremendously among individuals. Herpes lesions on/near the genitals may look like cold sores. An outbreak may look like a paper cut, or chafing, or appear to be a yeast infection. Symptoms of a genital outbreak may include aches and pains in the area, discharge from the penis or vagina, and discomfort when urinating. Initial outbreaks are usually more severe than subsequent ones, and generally also involve flu-like symptoms and swollen glands for a week or so. Subsequent outbreaks tend to be periodic or episodic, typically occur four to five times a year, and can be triggered by stress, illness, fatigue, menstruation, and other changes. The virus sequesters in the nerve ganglia that serve the infected dermatome during non-eruptive periods, where it cannot be conventionally eliminated by the body's immune system.
  9. First of all, I can't believe how mean people are on here. Most likely it would take more time for the virus to incubate and cause an inflammation or sores. Maybe you are tender from allot of sex. Always use a condom! If you believe she might have herpes, why did you have sex with her with out a condom? Regardless, stop having sex & go have yourself tested. And about the comment someone made earlier...even if you have herpes you can live a normal life with it, have a wife, and kids too...get educated. There are worse things, like AIDS, than herpes. (and NO, I don't have herpes!)
  10. Not a chance you could have an outbreak that fast. ALWAYS USE A CONDOM. Did you learn your lesson?
  11. could be a weak immune system due to HIV and you where easy infected with herpes
  12. It might mostly be herpes, but you should check the doctor just in case. It is possible to have herpes in this short amount of time.
  13. why would you have sex with someone whom you believed had hepres? unless your immune system is totally shit, it is highly unlikely that you would have an outbreak the following day.
  14. Everyone's different. I contracted herpes in the afternoon on August 17th. By the time I went to bed a few hours later, my first sore already looked like a huge spider bite...and felt like one too. By morning...it was everywhere.
