- This will do nothing for you. Go to the doctor for meds
- You need to go to the doctor or hospital and have them give you some pills and cream. DO not wait cause it WILL get worse and WAAAAAAAAY more painful!
- http://www.herpes.com/ here's a site u can look at to learn more but i highly recommend that u see ur doctor immediately
- Zinc Oxyde = baby cream will not help genital herpes Herpes is a virus and cannot be treated with diaper rash cream....you will need Acyclovir or Valtrex, these are both oral medications that require a prescription
- ha ha you have herpes you worn out come bucket
- Hi,as you probably know there is no cure for your condition. The best way to control herpes is to boost your immune system.Baby cream is not going to help. You may want to try a nutritional product called Beta 1,3-D Glucan. It is probably best product on the market to really boost the immune system and help suppress the outbreaks. It triggers an immune response in your body, creating a system of defense against viral, bacterial, fungal ,parasitic and other invaders.Find it at www.dna911.info
- No, but I put hydrogen peroxide which the nurse said it was ok to do. However, this does not make it go away only makes it feel better.
- no
- No I have not and it would not work or help...I've had herpes for almost twenty years. The best thing that you can do is to get on the prescription meds for this std. Also, as much as you might feel that putting something on the sores will make them go away or provide some comfort-- the comfort will be short lived. I've found that if i don't mess with the sores and let them dry out and crust over on their own you will get better faster. In my experience, scratching the sores (even with alcohol soaked swabs) actually spreads them. You just gotta fight the urge to mess with them. The drug acyclovir is very successful and is inexpensive. You can also try taking a dietary supplement called Lysine everyday. I have noticed that this has helped decrease my breakouts. Try to not stress out and get plenty of rest. I find that when I'm stressed or not getting enough sleep-a full blown breakout is heading my way. I did once try making a home remedy of a paste made by baking powder and water. Yes-it did help dry out the area- but it was so painful. It was if something was drawing out the drainage and pulsating pain in the area made me wash it off.
- For the most part, baby rash cream will do nothing. They do have a stronger hydrocortisone cream on the market now that does help some with the inflammation during an outbreak. I am going on 30 years of living with herpes. The first and best thing you can do for yourself is to eat right and take care of yourself. Stress, poor eating habits, and not enough rest will lower your immune system and will trigger an outbreak. At one time I had outbreaks every few months and it would reoccur each month for a few months. I was miserable! They hadn't come out with meds for it at that time. Now my outbreaks are 8 months or more apart, and most of my outbreaks are manageable. Depending on how often your outbreaks occur, the doctor may not opt to prescribe meds for you. They will not give me a prescription because my outbreaks are too far apart for the meds to have any benefit. I am not a doctor so I have to advise you to try these things at your own risk. I use two different types of oil extract for pain and discomfort. Melaleuca tea tree oil, or Clove oil.. Both oils burn temporarily when applied, clove burns alot worse than tea tree, but the pain relief lasts for 4 to 6 hours depending on the severity of the outbreak. As soon as I suspect and outbreak is coming, I begin a routine of keeping the area clean, dry, and medicated. I use huggies wipes with Aloe and vitamin E, and/or Huggies wipes with Green tea and cucumber. Using these wipes to cleans the area gently helps sooth and heal the area. The virus must run its course, but once it has, the cleaner the affected area is, the faster it will heal. It has also been suggested to me to drink Aloe juice. Aloe is suppose to help suppress the virus. I have not tried this, so I can't tell you if it works or not. As another person mentioned, touching the sore for any reason can spread the virus and cause more discomfort. It is important to touch the affected area as little as possible and be very gentle about it. Dab, do not rub or wipe. If wiping is needed, do this as little as possible and as gentle as possible. Immediately discard wipes safely away. My doctors have tried to reassure me that once the virus is on paper that someone else cannot contract it, but I have 4 kids that use the same bathroom I do. I treat this like any other virus. I wash my hands frequently during an outbreak. Wash cloths and towels are washed immediately after I use them. I just don't take any chances of spreading it. I have resigned myself to the fact that when I feel an outbreak coming on that this is a good time to get some extra rest. I do experience some flu like symptoms during and outbreak, and I do what I can to rest and let my body do what it has to do to fight the virus off. Herpes is a lot more common than many people realize, and it is something I would not wish on my worst enemy. Be good to yourself and ignore those who are ignorant and don't understand.
