1. Once your infected with herpes it is impossible to purge them from your system. This is the same for all viruses. This is because viruses, unlike bacteria, incorperate their DNA into your own healthy cells. Once incorporated the infected cell begins to produce more viruses which can be released into your system through lysing the cell or by exocytosis.
