what are the symptoms of herpes?

here's the deal. I haven't had sex in like....since end of october. so like 3 months. i do have a lot of anxiety sometimes and a few months ago shaved that area pretty good but no symptoms initially after i shaved the area. i have irritation on both sides of my shaft. there are no liasons, blisters, or secretions. it doesn't hurt when i go the bathroom. it's only come on in the last few weeks and no sores developed just irritation. also when i go to bed, it doesn't hurt. when i wake up it doesn't hurt either. just after about an hour after i get up i start freaking out about it. if you have herpes does it wake you up from the pain? i've also noticed the last 4 or 5 months that i'll wake up and it's like i've peed the bed but it's my whole groin area and it's just sweating like crazy. i've researched everything on herpes and went to the doc who took a look and didn't see anything. still i'm a little freaked out. any ideas? does this sound like herpes?

4. Sounds like you are irritated from shaving, make sure you use a shaving cream and moisturize the area. The rest of the 'symptoms' seem to be you stressing yourself out and overthinking everything. Just be careful from now on who you are sleeping with and always use protection.
