What is the latest situation regarding the fish herpes virus in British fishing lakes?

I beleive that the virus can be spread in keep and catch nets that are not thoroughly dried. Is there any other ways that it can be transmitted? Is a cure on the way?

3. If you mean the Koi Herpes I dont think there is a cure known as yet. Two main ways to stop spread: wash you rod, reel tackle allow to dry completely 24-48hrs Keep an eye on the Defra website for further info http://www.defra.gov.uk/fish/fishfarm/diseases.htm
4. You need to Wash your lines and rods and you need to ensure you clean your landing net in anti bacterial solution or use the lakes nets.
