Herpes?????

My fiance won't stop obsessing over some bumbs on his penis. He has been to the doc numerous times, had blood tests etc. they tell him he is fine. Well now he has little white head looking things in the crease of his leg like in his groin and once again is obsessing over it. He is going to the doc today, but I wanted to know if anyone knows if its possible for the doc to miss herpes with a blood test? is that how they test for it? because I mean wouldn't the doctor have known before if that was what it was? He says it can stay dormant for years and hes worried he has had herpes for like 4years and not known it. I keep telling him he is fine, but should i be worried?

1. Herpes isnt tested with a blood test. You have to have visible sores on you genitalia and a culture has to be taken from an open blister. There are some pretty nasty pictures on te web, compare if you dare!
2. It can stay dormant for years yes, I just found out I have herpes and husband of 4 years has never had an out break. It is hard to say and can be very scary. I would be a little cautious, if he is that worried he really think it is. I went in and got tested and my doctor had to scrap the area and 9he did not think it was but she tested anyways to make sure) sent that to the lab. That is the best way to test for herpes. If he is that worried maybe he should see a different doctor to make sure that he is getting the proper care. Make sure you use protection and do a little research online to make your self aware of what it is and how easily it is transferred from one to another.
