how long does it take for a gential herpes outbreak to clear up? and does genital herpes hurts?

- average time 7 days but other factors that can shorten or lengthen the healing time are; age, overall time when you 1st got them, how many times year you have an outbreak. They can hurt but not always.
- It takes from 7 to 10 days and yes it hurts like hell when you get the out burst.

- For me, it takes between 1 day and 2 days, four days absolute max from first tingle to completely healed. My attacks are pretty mild, they range from a tiny itchy lump like a pimple to a couple of pinhead sized blisters. At most, they are a bit tender. They never hurt. It varies from person to person. Think of the people you know who get cold sores/fever blisters (which are also caused by herpes and present the same symptoms just in a different location) - some get a bit of a tingle and an itchy patch on their lip or a spot that is barely visible and quickly goes, some get full-on huge sores that scab. Most people actually have very mild symptoms. In fact 80% never have symptoms at all and most people with hepres anywhere on their body have it so mildly they never even know they have it.
